BATTLELORE Vocalist On New Album: 'I Do Believe That We Have Excellent Songs'
April 30, 2008Finnish "fantasy metal" band BATTLELORE recently entered Sound Supreme Studios in Hmeenlinna, Finland, with producer Janne Saksa to begin recording its fifth album, tentatively titled "The Last Alliance".
Regarding the group's new material, vocalist Tomi Mykknen said, "I do believe that we have excellent songs and the execution is excellent. My vocals are more diverse than before, and, as promised, there are quite a few clean parts from me. I hope you'll like them when you hear the album. The grunting parts are also more diverse than before, I used quite a lot of my blacker vocal style but then again there are more 'death metal' grunting parts as well. I think that I managed to do a decent job with the vocals."
BATTLELORE is recording 9-10 songs for the forthcoming CD, which will be mixed and mastered by the Swedish multi-instrumentalist and producer Dan Swan (EDGE OF SANITY, NIGHTINGALE, ex-BLOODBATH).
Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Last Alliance", "Exile The Daystar", "Daughter Of The Sun", "Third Immortal" and "Voice Of The Fallen".
BATTLELORE released its fourth album, "Evernight", in North America on March 13, 2007 via Napalm Records.
